MyMovies.co.uk, one of the UK's largest movie portals, appointed
USP on a business and consumer PR brief.
USP's remit was to target the business world, film industry and
consumers through the mainstream media and specialist press, and drive traffic
to the site.
Launched in March 1999, MyMovies co.uk is a one-stop shop for all
things film, offering the latest film news, reviews, interviews and trailers, a
what's on guide, movie shop and competitions. The style is personal and
irreverent, providing an independent voice for a loyal and passionate audience
of movie fans. The site has over 70,000 regular users and 5 million page
impressions per month.
MyMovies co.uk has key partnerships with the major independent
film distributors including UIP, 20th Century Fox, Buena Vista International,
Film Four, Metrodome Entertainment, Downtown and Pathe.
Public Relations played a key role in creating consumer demand,
building the MyMovies brand and reinforcing relationships with investors and
commercial partners. Sally Allen's role included media relations and
partnership marketing activity.
